There are moments when we start doing something
and then pause in the middle of it.
Not because we’ve fully changed our mind.
More like something interrupts from the inside.
We hesitate.
Pull back slightly.
Pause in a way that wasn’t there at the start.
It can be small.
Saying less than we were about to.
Not finishing a thought.
Holding back something we had already begun.
At the time, it doesn’t always feel like a clear decision.
It just happens,
and we move on from it quickly.
But if we look at it more closely,
there’s often a brief moment where something shifts.
Not necessarily a full reason—
just enough to stop us from continuing.
And that moment passes almost as quickly as it came.
It doesn’t always stand out afterward.
But it’s there—
a small interruption,
in something that was already in motion.
